So Game Of Thrones is one of the most popular and expansive television shows ever.

...so much more happens in the books, and so much of it is so, so good.
Literally hundreds of characters never make the show, not to mention the detailed descriptions of castles, lands, meals, and dreams that are the building blocks of George R.R. Martin's fantastic world.
