Star Wars: Episode VIII has already begun filming, and joining the cast are some familiar names, including Benicio del Toro and Laura Dern. But many fans may not recognize one newcomer to the cast: Kelly Marie Tran.
Tran, who has been acting in small film and TV roles since 2011, might be a familiar face to Internet comedy fans after appearing in several CollegeHumor videos.
Recently, she appeared in a popular video called "Periods Aren't That Gross" for CollegeHumor.
We don't know whether Tran's role in the next Star Wars movie will be comedic. Her character is yet to be announced and does not appear on her IMDb page. But there's always a little room for comedic timing and wit in Star Wars. Read more...
